I want to personally thank all of you that took part in my survey, some of the the results were real ‘eye openers’ to say the least!
I wanted to do a little more with the results than simply announce them, so I went ahead and wrote a report titled:
‘Online Marketing – The ‘REAL’ Truth’
Inside the report I have voiced my opinions on a few things, not only the results, but also what I REALLY think about some online marketers!
I also announce my latest creation in there, which has been a long time coming!
I would also love to hear your views on that too.

Congratulations on writing this report Dave, You have no idea what it brings to people. but wait! you do 🙂 that is why you wrote the report at the first place.
I hardly every read online reports, but there are a select few names on my list that I read each and everything they produce. It is time that people realize that subject lines such as ‘Make $2543 by tomorrow for 30 seconds of work’ are merely a load of crap and like you said, THEY are full of it.
I am so pleased to have finally met you in Bristol and I know this coaching is gonna ROCK!

My compliments on the report format too.
The graphs really tell the picture of your base
subscribers and obviously is well balanced for
your niche market following.
What I liked most about your content is your
emphasis on recommending some coaching.
When I started in the mid 1990’s, we had to
feel our way and develop what we needed…
the internet opportunities are still exponential
all the tools are readily available and learning
curves are relatively short.

Very impressive survey. It interesting how most do not make money. Information overload. And how to begin. mind mapping is key. staying focus on results. Marketers must provide value. This means if you have a step-by step process and if follow your advice. I should see a return on investment at some point.
Some people don’t succeed because they get bored and don’t follow up. Student need to work to become success. Let me give you an example. If you start a brick and mortar business. Your chance for survival is very low. The right support will increase your chance for survival.
Coaching programs are the same way. But it needs to be the right coach with a dedicated student. This greatly increase success. Of course there are no guarantees.

Hi Dave, back again. I have finally got my blog to the presentable stage and even tried ti create my own custom header which represents the online roller coaster ride that we newbies all experience. I have made a few posts to begin my excellent online experience. Now I’m ready to go the distance and make it a success, I read your report and I believe that the reason that many of your readers answered the way they did is because they have only just begun their coaching with Alex. So perhaps if you ask them again in 3 months time, your survey results might look quite different.
You seem to have positioned yourself very well. You are an inspiration to newbies. I’m wondering how long it has taken to reach your current position. Good luck with your launch. It;s probably too soon for us coaching students. We are up to our eyeballs already with so much to do!

Yes I would trust you totally. I have recently started along the same path as you did with Alex Jeffreys as my mentor so I would vouch for the quality of anything you put in place.
I agree there are loads of coaching programs out there and unfortuantely many people once they get sucked in to hyped up sales letters feel obliged to commit and then are too ashamed to complain and kick their heels up at such poor value.

I have just finished lesson one. The reason I took this was because I have fallen for the bs and spent too much money and too much time. The OM marketers are just realizing that “newbies” are getting smarter and in order to survive, teaching people how to make money has to contain ALL the basic steps, the common results for most people, and allow students to have some sort of personal resource available. Even though you are in another country, you give me enough time to absorb the lesson, follow the check list you give, allow me to email you with questions and answer them in a reasonable time and use streaming Video and text that can be viewed anytime over and over.
I believe in true coaching and have taken steps to be a professional coach along with my online business. The biggest thing I learned is that a coach is not just a guide but a companion on a journey that only the client can define. It is the responsibility of the person being coached to do all the work, be totally honest and open and ask for help. A coach supports, listens and helps you reach what you define as YOUR success. You are coaching people how to complete a goal of getting online with a website and being able to control the content, make a product and have a true foundation. You seem to be genuine and have offered this at an affordable price and allowed for a measurable and reasonable time to accomplish this with 12 weeks.
I did not grow up with computers so the technical hand holding is what I need. I found you because of the “unfair advantage program” which also gives me access to once a week interactive webinar to ask questions and get answers. He knows the value you offer and so far it has been I feel that I can trust you to deliver. It is up to me now to follow your exact steps in order and take action. I hope this is the start of a long lasting relationship and we can both reap the rewards of GIVING REAL VALUE to others as we continue to grow online and offline.

Your report basically confirms much of what I would have expected to see and it is a sad fact that so many people buy products and they do not know how to use them effectively. Also there are far too many marketers out there who just want to make some fast cash and they produce products that do very little to help people in any way other than to make them spend yet more money that they cannot afford to lose. If you want to succeed online it is very clear that you need to invest in educating yourself with how to do things correctly. I am glad to say that I have found you as my mentor and coach and I will recommend you to everyone I know who wants to work online and who will also benefit from your coaching. No doubt it is fantastic post, you idea of creating a questionnaire and writing a report is very useful for people like me who have just started internet marketing and for people like you who like to help.
Your report has made me think of serveral factors which affect to be a successful internet marketer. I really believe on having mentor and coach.
I love the list of excuses, most of the times we focus on what we don’t want and look for excuses, a very common practice.
In summary I would say, it is a great report and I am very impressed with it.

Hi Dave, may I say, I read this survey and you have done a masterful work here, probably the very first time anyone has ever actually captured real figures and facts about what people really want from internet marketing and where they are at so far. I was gobsmacked! I had wondered whether internet marketing as a niche was overcrowded but NO! I can see clearly from your results here that the world is crying out for bona fide trustworthy leaders in IM – that is, people who don’t just sell sell sell but care and therefore teach first teach second and endorse third. This actual report has been pivotal in my marketing: I can see a huge gap in the market as more and more folk try to shelter the recession by building an online income…there is room for all of us but we MUST compound the amount of truly useful info that is getting around: most people seem to have made a start but just got lost along the way – you start out with blogs and forums, nip off to social media, try ppc…we need structure!

I was wondering if you are going to the London internet millionaires summit this weekend June 17-20 2010? Using charts like that really helps the mind to focus and the truth is more readily understood (being an ex-accountant, this is a comfort zone area for me, I know!)
So I take it that I can upload the web page giving access to your report through my own auto-responder, is that right? To help me to build my list?
I think that’s right, it’s what I intend to do (as it is a very good report to give away), and obviously it will be good for you to get more exposure for your mentoring course (though my list is only small right now!)
