Is There Such a Thing as The Ultimate Blogging Guide?

Hey guys,

OK, so is there such a thing as ‘The Ultimate Blogging Guide?

The Ultimate Blogging Guide

Well, until recently I would have said not, you would probably need to grab a few different guides, choose the best content from all or them and then decide how to implement it all yourself.

Let’s back up a little here and answer the more important question… Why do You Need to Get a Blog Online?

I’ve mentioned some of the main benefits of having a blog in an earlier post, but just in case you missed it here’s a few benefits of having your own blog:

1. Having your own blog is great for search engines, search engines love WordPress blogs, giving you INSTANT organic traffic.
2. Having your own blog is great to build your brand name, your brand name is very important, as people need to trust you!
3. Having your own blog is AWESOME for list building, and we all know how IMPORTANT that is!
4. Having your own blog is a great way of providing great content for your subscribers, just like I’m doing right now!
5. Having your own blog is a great way to communicate to your subscribers, just like I’m doing now!
6. Having your own blog is excellent for linking to all your other sites and also other peoples sites, for back linking and additional traffic, kinda like a central hub.
7. Having your own blog is a great way to generate passive income, from products you recommend etc. We all love passive income! :-)

That’s just a few off the top of my head, trust me, there are LOADS more great benefits!

So I’ve shown you just some of the MASSIVE benefits of having your own blog online, now my earlier question… is there such a thing as ‘The Ultimate Blogging Guide?” should be smacking you in the face! 🙂

As I said earlier, until recently I would have said there is no such thing as ‘The Ultimate Blogging Guide“, but only yesterday my very good friend Daniel Sumner released what I consider to be the Best Blogging Guide…EVER!

He spent the better part of 18 months creating this AWESOME guide, and you can see that reflects instantly as soon as you first set your eyes upon it.

OK, so you may be thinking I’m a tad biased as Daniel is a good friend of mine, but I can honestly say to you that is NOT the case here, I ALWAYS tell it like it is, if Daniel released this and it was rubbish, I’d say that, and he’d tell you that himself!

But I can honestly say that this really is the Best Blogging Guide…EVER!

Sales Funnels Build Ever Growing Evergreen Income Streams!

Ok, with the recent launch of Omar and Melinda’s AWESOME Buzzinar, I thought I’d write a post that basically explains a little about sales funnels to show you why they are so important and how they can build you Ever Growing, Evergreen Income Streams!

Sales Funnels Build Ever Growing Evergreen Income Streams

So where do you start?

First, you need to understand that a sales funnel is more like an ongoing process of turning your leads into buyers, rather than simply buying or not buying whatever it is you are offering.

For example, let’s say you are selling a product/service, without a funnel in place your prospect will either buy or not buy and that’s where it ends!

However, if you do have a funnel in place that is only the beginning, for the same amount of traffic you are going to get a LOT more return for your efforts.

Here’s an example of a funnel you could initiate that will DRAMATICALLY increase your conversions:

1. Rather than sending your traffic to a sales page you could send them to a squeeze page, possibly offer a free gift that is related to your product/service in return for their name and email. This gives you the opportunity to sell to your prospect at a later date, possibly multiple times. So even if they don’t buy today you have the chance that they will at a later date.

Be sure to only ever offer high quality gifts, we’ve all got far too much crap on our hard drives! 🙂

2. Now you can send your leads to your sales page for your product/service, they still can only buy or not buy, but this time if they don’t buy you still have them on your list, so you can possibly sell to them again at a later date.

3. If your prospect does buy, you can now offer them a higher priced second offer (this is an upsell), products/services that are related to your initial product work best, possibly an upgrade or advanced version.

4. At this stage you could possibly add another third offer if they purchase your second offer.

5. If they decline the higher priced second offer then you can now offer them a lower priced offer from that page (this is a downsell), again, keep this related to your initial offer, possibly a reduced/lite version.

6. Once your prospect has purchased, be sure to add them to another list, this is your buyers list, the most important list you can have!

7. You can now possibly add more offers in your autoresponder follow up messages, here’s a few ready made messages you can use.

If you follow these steps to initiate a Sales Funnel then you will increase your sales/optins exponentially.

Of course this is just one way you can initiate a sales funnel to DRAMATICALLY increase your conversions, if you are going to initiate your own sales funnel, then the best advice I can offer you is to grab Omar and Melinda’s Buzzinar, this gives you everything you need in simple to follow, step by step videos, as well as loads of ready made HTML templates, WordPress themes and plugins that will make your life a LOT simpler with sales funnels!

In fact it’s that good I even offered a MASSIVE bonus for anyone who grabs it from my link, check it out here.

I hope this helps you understand the IMPORTANCE of sales funnels.

How to Set up a WordPress Blog in 5 Minutes From Scratch!

Hey guys,

As I’m sure you already know, having your own blog is a VERY important part of any online business or venture.

If you have followed my coaching or anybody’s coaching for that matter, I’m sure one of the first things you are told to do is set up your own blog, and for very good reason too.

Here’s just a few benefits of having your own blog:

Best of all, having your own blog is REALLY SIMPLE to do, you can do it in just a few minutes!

In fact, I have created a short video for you to show you how you can set up a WordPress blog in just 5 minutes, including getting a domain name and web hosting, setting up the WordPress blog, adding a custom theme, a custom header and even creating a post with an image… All in roughly 5 minutes. 🙂

Check out the video here:

Here’s the link to Blue Host mentioned in my video.

Here’s a link to get any graphics from GFX-1 you may need.

As usual, I welcome your comments, please also feel free to ‘like‘ and ‘tweet‘ if you like this post.

Pinterest…So What’s it All About?

So what’s ‘Pinterest’ all about then?

Basically, Pinterest is a site full of images, just like you would find in a catalogue. You can create as many categories as you like and you can share the pins of other users in what is called a ‘repin’, or pin off the Internet from sites that have been wise enough to add a ‘pin it’ button to their site. The person who is sharing is referred to as the ‘pinner’.

Why would you make the effort to start using Pinterest?

Well, put it this way, Pinterest is by far the fastest growing social media site in the world at this moment in time!

It’s actually got well over 11.7 million unique users, making it the fastest site in history to break through the 10 million unique visitor mark.

So that makes Pinterest the third most popular social network at the moment, behind Facebook and Twitter.

Pinterest Stats

Now that we’ve established how popular and fast growing Pinterest is, let’s see how we can use it, and more importantly how it can help make our lives easier.

The first thing you need to do is to request an invitation to join, you can do that here for free.

Once you have your account you can then start pinning, it’s really simple to work out, there’s nothing hard about it, first edit your profile and then create your ‘boards’ (categories) for your pinned images.

A simple way to pin ‘any’ image you see is to install a Pinterest addon for your web browser, I use the Pinterest Right Click addon for Firefox, you can get it here if you need it.

However, it’s also simple to ‘repin’ images that other users have already pinned, by simply browsing the images in Pinterest and clicking the ‘repin’ icon in the top left of the image, this will then pin that image to your chosen board.

There’s also some really simple tools inside Pinterest that you can use to add ‘Pin It’ and ‘Follow’ buttons onto your websites, just like this one:

Follow Me on Pinterest

Another really cool thing about Pinterest that I personally love is the mobile phone app, if you pin an image from there, you can also set it up to post the image on Facebook and Twitter, you can also take an image from your phone and pin it at the same time.

Maybe now more people will start to add more high quality images relating to their products and services! 🙂 Oh, if you ever need any images then you can’t beat GFX-1 for quality and cost.

There’s obviously a lot more about Pinterest than I would want to bore you with here, so I’ve got a complete eBook about the subject for you totally free, you can download it here.
Feel free to share/sell this eBook, as long as you don’t change the content, if you need any PLR material for yourself, then look no further than our PLR Monthly site.

Enjoy!

Regards,

Dave.

Oh, don’t forget to share your love with the social sharing below, and please let me know your comments on Pinterest, good or bad 🙂

Facebook Timline Changes and How They Will Affect You and Your Business!

Hey guys,

OK, unless you have buried in work for the last month or two (like me :-)), you will have heard about the new Facebook timeline changes for all fan pages.
Basically, on March 30th 2012 all pages will be automatically changed over to the new timeline format on Facebook

So I would recommend you go and familiarize yourself with the new layout before Facebook makes the change.

I personally think it’s a great update, I know it’s a bit of a pain to update your pages, but there are loads of new features that are pretty cool:

Cool New Features:

Massive Cover Photo Size

The cover photo, or main image at the top of your page can now be upto 851 pixels wide, giving you a LOT more exposure to highlight your page.

Cover photos are 851 pixels wide and 315 pixels tall. If you upload an image that’s smaller than these dimensions, it will get stretched to this larger size. The image you upload must be at least 399 pixels wide.

Facebook has set a few rules with this though, check them out:

Cover images must be at least 399 pixels wide and may not contain:

  • Price or purchase information, such as “40% off” or “Download it at our website”
  • Contact information, such as web address, email, mailing address or other information intended for your Page’s About section
  • References to user interface elements, such as Like or Share, or any other Facebook site features
  • Calls to action, such as “Get it now” or “Tell your friends”

All cover images are public, which means anyone visiting your Page will be able to see the image you choose. Covers must not be false, deceptive or misleading, and must not infringe on third parties’ intellectual property. You may not encourage or incentivize people to upload your cover image to their personal timelines.

Oh, and they’ll probably keep updating them, so make sure you keep checking!

Much Wider Page Tabs

This is great in my opinion, the old page tabs used to be 520px wide, allowing you to use around 500px before scrolling, but the new ones are a massive 810px wide which you can place a decent 790px page into.

That’s pretty much a full size website, giving you a LOT more scope for making your page look cool with loads of content.

Better Tab Icons

The tab icons that link to your ‘Photos’, ‘Likes’ and custom tabs etc. are placed very prominently just below your cover photo, they are much larger than the previous ones (109x72px)

Fan Page Messaging

This is also a pretty cool feature, pages now have the option to show a ‘Message’ button just below the cover photo, so fans can message the page privately. As I said it’s optional, but by default it shows the message button.

It’s a good way for your fans to interact with you I think, as long as it does not get abused. Guess we’ll have to see how that goes eh! 🙂

Highlighting and Pinning Posts

This is definitely a cool feature, by simply clicking the little star at the top of a post you can ‘highlight’ it, making it full page width, and by clicking the little pencil icon you can pin that post to the top of your page.

Awesome idea for those ‘need to be seen’ posts!

New  Page Admin Panel

This is also a pretty cool feature, you can now view your admin panel in great detail above your page, giving you information on notifications, messages, likes, insights and page tips right at your fingertips

Not So Cool New Features:

Default Landing Tab Removal

Booooooo, the default landing tab is going to be removed, so you can’t set which page a fan will land on by default, it’s not a big drawback, especially with the new tab icon size being more readable, but nevertheless it’s not so cool!

Please let me know your thoughts on the new Facebook timeline changes, and feel free to share one link to your new fan page once you have it set up.

Also, don’t forget to ‘like’ and share this post using the options below too please!

Talk soon,

Dave.
